    CURRENT ECW NEWS & NOTES


    IN MEMORY OF MARY DAWKINS, "Mary's Guild"
    The response from the community over the newspaper article on Mary Dawkins and our "chemo-cap" ministry has been
    overwhelming. Several individuals, churches and crocheting classes have called asking if they might help. Carol Nichols
    and Lisa Woodside co-chair this guild to continue this ministry in the community. If you are interested in participating,

    MONTHLY ECW MEETING: Saturday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m. PLANNING MEETING for OFFICERS
    St. George's ECW meets regularly every 2nd Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
    All women of the church are encouraged to attend!

    COMFORT PILLOW PROJECT: Click here for more about this special ministry. We could use some donations of
    stuffing material or funds to purchase more materials. If you are interested in making a donation or otherwise helping out,

    S.A.F.E. SHELTER: We are now collecting SCHOOL SUPPLIES for ELEMENTARY AGE children in residence. For
    a printable shopping list of needed supplies, click here. Donations can be left in the basket at the rear of the nave.

    EMPTIES4CASH: We are still accepting used ink jet cartridges for recycling. Donations can be left at the marked box at
    the rear of the Parish Hall. For a list of cartridges accepted by the program, click here.

    RONALD McDONALD HOUSE, Savannah: Our collection of soda pop tabs is ongoing. Donations can be made at the

    The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) is a national Episcopal organization that helps the women of
    the Episcopal Church carry on Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and take their place as
    leaders in the life, governance and worship of the church. It is formed, and serves, women of all
    ages, ethnic origins, and socio-economic backgrounds in the Episcopal Church. The ECW offers
    programs and opportunities in spiritual growth and nourishment, fellowship, education, leadership
    and skills training, focus for mission, service, social action and advocacy, heightened awareness,
    ecumenism and a world wide network.
