Baby Skully Hat
3-ply baby yarn – G Hook
Chain 4, join in round with a slip stitch
Round 1: Chain 3, 15 Double crochet in ring (16 DC counting chain 3)
Round 2: Chain 3, Double crochet in same stitch, 2 double crochets in each double crochet around (32 DC)
Round 3: Chain 3, Double crocket in same stitch, double crochet in 3 double crochets,
2 double crochets in next double crochet. Repeat around (40 stitches)
Round 4: Chain 3, Double crochet in each double crochet (no additions) Do row 5, 6, and 7 the same.
Round 8: Single crochet in every double crochet. Do 4 rows, bond off
For an added edging for girls hats add a row of scallops after 2 rows of single crochet. Do create scallops: 6 double
crochets in one single crochet stitch, single crochet in next two single crochet stitches. Repeat around, join with slip stitch
and bind off.

Round 4: Chain 3, dc in same stitch, *(dc in 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc) repeat from *around ending dc in 4 dc,
slip stitch to beginning stitch (48 dc)
Round 5: Chain 3, dc in same stitch, * (dc in 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc) repeat from * around ending dc in 5 dc,
slip stitch to beginning stitch (56 dc)
Round 6: Chain 3, dc in same stitch, * (dc in 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc) repeat from * around ending dc in 6 dc,
slip stitch to beginning stitch (64 dc)
Round 7-11: Chain 3, dc in each dc around
Round 12: Chain 1, sc in each dc around.
Round 13-16: Chain 1 sc in each sc around.
For variety you can use specialty yarn on the edge for trim.
